Zine x SPMC

Who said it was easy handling/hosting a zine when you have your SPM trials under SBP ongoing? At least one of the fellow mods are understanding enough sooo props to Apri for that TT Honestly I never expected the delay to be that long mainly because of ME. I wanted to avoid that silly mistake where the zine gets delayed/cancelled mainly because of the host :| That happened like too many times to count tbh I shouldn't stress out too much because the priority is my academic performance anyways because the pressure is haunting me (not too much ig) Just finished with Ujian Bertutur BM for individu and at least I did better than last year. That's all that matters, at least for me. Yeah, good luck batch 06 TT

No experience with writing books but is mentoring a novice writer?

I should admit that I'm a novice in the writing world myself πŸ˜‚ I mean, I've received a bronze award (2019) and a silver award (2022) for the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition and was shortlisted as the top 50 best writers(?) for the We Ocean Warriors Essay Writing Competition if that counts. Oh, shouldn't forget our assignment in 2021 where we had to write a short story about our life during the pandemic (in Malay) and even had a physical copy of our anthology. The person I'm mentoring here plans to write a novel-long book (about 50k words) and I'm helping her the the storyline and feedback stuff. They've been writing it since late 2021-early 2022, went on a hiatus before continuing it again this year. Another friend of ours gave an idea for a story that might be interesting (it is) and she said it could be novel long (but didn't specify the word count). Even with our current progress, we already have 13 chapters and 170 pages in A5 sized- paper (

How I'll try to romanticise my studies

Knowing that SPM is about to end soon, my turn will be coming up soon. Time is ticking and you know that you shouldn't waste anymore time (says the person who is literally procrastinating on homework by writing this blog entry :skull:) JKJK, I actually did my homework, which is a PBL project on colouring flowers. I think I did it the wrong way because I don't see any hints of colour on my flowers' petals. Or maybe it's because it's nighttime and photosynthesis said no. Okay, back to the main story. I do have plans on how I want to romanticise my studies. The first and simplest step is to change my desktop background from the Artemis mission to something that shows my academic and life goals visually (because I'm more of a visual learner I believe). I mean, just look how gorgeous it is with the shades of blue, gray and white! I want to pursue a degree in CS (more specifically AI) and it shows. The manga panels you ask? That's my motivation. I'll explain.

Zine this, zine that

*inhales* Time to get serious for once. When you see the word 'zine', what exactly do you imagine? A magazine, right?  Well, it is a magazine after all, only that this is more to leisure-like topics. The first time I got hooked up with this term was in 2021. I had a lot of moots from Instagram who post drawings and I will like them as usual. Okay, imagine your typical afternoon where you scroll through that camera app after online classes. Your moot has posted a promotional illustration for a zine project she's in - and it's called A World That Was (iirc). I was IN LOVE like LITERALLY and I thought that, "Hey, what if I were to be in a zine project too, y'know?" It'll be fun and you can earn money out of that. After that, I went to reach out to a friend of mine (she's from India, 4 years younger than me) and asked her if she's interested in joining me to make a zine or should I say, a company that makes zines. She agreed and when I asked anoth

2023 already???

Seriously, I'm not ready for form 5 and I just realised how cringey my old blogs areπŸ’€ Anyways throughout 2022, one of the things that got me through the year despite having a rough journey is Dr Stone's Ryusui TV Special and Genshin Impact. It's no joke that I got almost addicted to it a few months after playing it since New Year (I'm not addicted, dw i have my priorities straight, jk not really lmao) As soon as I laid my eyes on Zhongli, I knew I had to get him at C6 asap (he's now at C2). The thing is, I still have a LOT more characters to pull in my wishlist eg. Shenhe, Cyno etc.  Call me crazy but I've been liking Dottore too before his in-game appearance. I could ramble more about him but maybe next time. I only got into the game because damn, my kouhai keeps on talking about it and I told her 'yeah yeah I'll play after finals' This was in 2021. Gonna continue with Dr stone, since I finished the manga, I was so hyped up for the upcoming animate

W h a t

Last time when I typed in a blog, it was 10 March. I came back on 13 March (Friday the 13th). From a 9-day break, it turned to be a 4-month quarantine at home (which sucks in a way). I went through a series of online classes, I sprained my ankle in June 21, I started to watch Naruto too. Celebrating your birthday with a sprained ankle sucks enough, and I had to wait a long time for it to heal, even now, I don't think it was fully healed yet. Right now, I'm in another 2-week quarantine that's probably going to extend after this due to the number of cases and active cases here.  About watching Naruto, I finished watching everything except the fillers in 12 weeks since I'm in a boarding school and I can only watch during the weekends. Now, I'm at home and I'm free to watch anytime! Forgot to mention about Kimetsu no Yaiba, another shounen anime I like.  I have started to watch Naruto Shippuden lately, and some stuff got me shook. SPOILERS: Most of them became Chun
